Even though there were no jackpot winners in last night's drawing, the Mega Millions annuity jackpot level remains the same at $12.0 million while the cash offering declined from $9.1M to $9.0M. The reason for this unusual occurrence is the combination of a large number of second place $250,000 winners (9) and a low amount of ticket sales. As we can see, the Mega Millions lottery does not have a minimum increase amount like the Powerball lottery has.
