Arizona Pick 3 Selects Delta 303 3 Days in a Row

For three days in a row early last week, the Arizona Pick 3 Lottery choose numbers that had the same Delta. The Delta was 303.  The results are shown below:

Wed 05/25/11 3-3-6 (Delta 303)

Tue 05/24/11 6-1-3 (Delta 303)

Mon 05/23/11 9-9-2 (Delta 303)

Sat 05/21/11 6-6-9

As we define a delta, there are 8 unique combinations of numbers that can be played. This means that out of a pool of 1000 allowable numbers, the Delta reduces this to only 125 different combinations. We have often seen Deltas repeat, but triple repetitions are extremely rare.

California, Idaho, & Missouri Pick 3 Pages Released

As part of our Pick 3 coverage expansion, we have just released three new State Pick 3 pages for your use. These are the:

• California Pick 3
• Idaho Pick 3
• Missouri Pick 3

At the same time, we changed the method by which we populate these pages. This means that each of the pages now loads much faster, taking less than 2 seconds.

This brings our total Pick 3 coverage to 8 states now. In addition to the above, we also provide analysis of:

• North Carolina Pick 3
• New Jersey Pick 3
• Texas Pick 3

Improvements Coming to Pick 3 Pages

We have currently been working on improving the "load time" speed of our some of our pages. Since we are expanding the coverage of our Pick 3 pages to include more States, we have decided to modify the way we retrieve our analytic results. The information displayed will remain the same, but the pages will load significantly faster.

At present, we do not have a time frame for completion, but expect to release the new version in early June.

Two New Pick 3 Games Released

We are pleased to announce that we have added two new Pick 3 pages to our site. These are the:

• Arizona Pick 3
• Iowa Pick 3

Besides adding these games, we have modified our Pick 3 layout slightly. First, we reversed the positions of our recommended number and results panels which are located at the top of the page. Second, we increased the number of the drawing results from 6 to the 28 drawings. Third, we have added the monthly breakdowns to our "Delta Occurances" panel located in the middle of the page.

Pick 3 Performance Review

It's been 20 weeks since we first introduced our NC, NJ, and TX Pick 3 pages (May 3rd). Since that time, twelve of our "Way Overdue" delta recommendations have have won in straight combination payouts. The breakdown for each State is:

• North Carolina: 3 winners (one in June, 1 in July, 1 in August)
• New Jersey: 2 winners (2 in September)
• Texas: 7 winners (1 in June, 3 in July, 1 in August, 1 in September)

We believe this Pick 3 Performance Review supports our belief that that all numbers will eventually be selected, and that playing overdue numbers will pay out profits to the patient lottery player.

North Carolina's Record Pick 3 Payout

As written in its Carolina Pick 3 Record Payout press release, the NC Lottery paid out a record $2,880,000 to 11,520 Pick 3 players who correctly matched the evening number 2 - 2  - 2 on Monday September 6th.

This broke the previous record payout of $2,283,000 for the December 25 2009 evening number 5 - 5 - 5 to 9,132 winners.

By comparison the number 3 - 3 - 3 was later drawn in the Wednesday September 8th daytime drawing, but only 4,947 winners collected $1,236,750 in prizes.

Looking at two other dates when triples were drawn, we find that the number:

• 5 - 5 - 5 on Jan 27 2010 evening drawing paid 3,555 winners $888,570
• 6 - 6 - 6 on Jul 31 2010 daytime drawing paid  2,729 winners $682,250

Looking at these statistics, it doesn't appear that players consistently choose triple numbers in every drawing.

However, playing triples in the North Carolina Pick 3 can definitely benefit those players because the State pays out a fixed $250 per winning ticket.

Pick 3 Numbers Now Available at Lottery Power Picks

Lottery Power Picks is proud to announce that we have released the first 3 of our newly created Pick 3 pages for all of our players. Included in this release are the publication of the:

• North Carolina Pick 3
• New Jersey Pick 3
• Texas Pick 3

While we believe that all are working properly, we will be monitoring these pages to ensure that all results and recommendations are promptly updated.

So far, we are confident that both the New Jersey and North Carolina pages are receiving the updated results. However, we're not sure that the Texas Lottery is disseminating its mid-day drawings in a timely manner.

Should we discover any errors or problems, we will promptly resolve these issues.

Reminder: Pick 3 Recommendations Coming Soon

We're nearing the completion of our soon to be released Pick 3 Lottery Power Picks. The development process is taking a bit longer than we expected, but we believe the effort is worth it.

Over the years, members have sent us mail asking for us to develop this product, but we didn't have an automated way to update the numbers. We recently solved that problem, and have therefore adapted our in-house strategy for public consumption.

Beginning in the next week or so, we will release our Pick 3 pages for:

• Texas
• North Carolina
• New Jersey

Afterwards, additional States will be added depending on the availability of accessible drawing results.

LPP Pick 3 Analysis Coming in April 2010

One of the major stumbling blocks that we faced in developing Pick 3 analytic analysis was determining how to obtain the daily results. However, we have now found a solution that opens the door for us to begin offering Pick 3 numbers for you to play.

Beginning in late April 2010, we will introduce our own Lottery Power Picks for the Pick 3 games in:

• Texas
• North Carolina
• New Jersey

We are very happy to announce these new offerings and expect to add other states in the following months. If these pages are a success, we will then move into the Pick 4 and Match 5 games as well!

We have seen an encouraging growth in our Gadgets use since we have added Pick 3 last week. To add this to your own home page, simply click on the Button immediately below.

Once added, you will see the Lottery Power Picks gadget on your iGoogle home page.

Towards the bottom, you will see a line that looks like:

Press the Pick 3 link, and then use the pulldown menu to locate your state abbreviation range. To look at your own specific state, click on its abbreviation.

To get numbers to play in the next drawing, use the radial button to say how many combinations you want to play, and then press the Submit button.

Write down these numbers and then play them at your local lottery retailer.
