First Montana Powerball Winner Shares Jackpot

The State of Montana has recorded its first Powerball winner since joining the game. The winner will share the $97 million annuity prize with another player from Ohio. Additionally, this has been the second time that Ohio sold a winning ticket since it joined the Powerball in April of this year.

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday Jun 23, 2010 were:

11 30 45 47 48 Powerball 10 and Powerplay 3x.

In this drawing, Lottery Power Picks recommended 365 combinations. Of these, we had 10 winners: (8) pb, and (2) pb+1w, returning $32 back to our players. Our 5 number pool had1,931,281 combinations. The first winning other combos were located at:
  • 3-w @ # 1,161
  • 3-w + PB @ # 18,616
  • 4-w @ # 253,477
  • 5-w @ # - na -
There were two PB jackpot winners, one from Montana and one from Ohio, so the jackpot resets to $20 million with a cash option of $10.4M and a yield of 4.20%

Note: Based on the results of our Poll , we decided to recommend all Power & Mega balls in every drawing after Octorber 22, 2007. This change will make these lotteries consistent with the International and other "mega" ball based lotteries.
