Many states are considering joining both the Powerball and Mega Millions lottery. At present, a state can only be a member of one of these.
But, as many folks who live near a Powerball/Mega Millions border can attest, people like to play the Lottery that offers the highest jackpot.
Since many states are under fiscal pressure to increase revenue, several lawmakers are seriously considering expanding their lottery coverage for the purpose of capturing additional monies.
