Crazy Combos - Jan 09

During the past 2 weeks, three interesting Lottery Combinations were drawn. We would like to share these with you.

First, on Fri Jan 09 2009, Mega Millions drew the numbers:

23 25 30 45 50 and bonus number 08

Of these 6 numbers, notice that:

• 4 of them are divisible by 5

Then on Wed Jan 14 2009, Canada's Lotto 649 drew the numbers:

20 35 36 37 39 49 and bonus number 38

Of these 7 numbers, notice that:

• 5 of them were sequential 35 thru 39.

And, on that same night of Wed Jan 14 2009, Hot Lotto drew the numbers:

06 12 14 18 36 and bonus number 06

Of those 6 numbers:

• 5 of them are divisible by 6, and
• all were even (but this is not surprising because of the above)

We thing this is interesting because, many lottery books, advisers, and software products recommend that players avoid identifiable patterns because they probably will never occur.

But, as these three drawings illustrate, interesting patterns do occur in random events, and we should not ignore them!
