Making Progress on the "When to Play Guide"

A couple of weeks ago, we announced that we were preparing a "When to Play Powerball or Mega Millions Guide".  We began working on that paper but have found that is is slightly more complex than we initially believed.

The problem is that besides the simple Powerball and Mega Millions, we need to consider the Powerplay and Megaplier Options.

At this time, we have completed our mathematical analysis, but have been struggling with the presentation of that information.

The Mega Millions Lottery expanded its reach from 12 to 35 States yesterday. And, many of those new States decided to offer the Megaplier Option, previously only offered in Texas.

To help you stay informed, we have added the Megaplier number to all of our Lottery Power Picks results. It is the last number in the sequence and is prefixed by the letter "x" (for times).

During the next few weeks, we will be updating our site to reflect all the new States that have joined both Powerball and Mega Millions.
